Low-cost great WWII flying and fighting

For those with older computers unable to keep up with the new games, don't despair.

Try this very low-cost WWII game, "European Air War".
Tons of stuff free once you get the basic EAW game.
It has great flying, careers, hundreds of aircraft to pick from, and many, many complete new "scenarios"--games in themselves.
It has online flying and fighting, too.

Still available at Atari Infogrames or eBay for about $10 or less.

EAW is a classic! There are several other flight sims i loved from the late 90's. Janes WW2 fighters blew me away the first time I played, still a great game. You can get it used for under 10 bucks at amazon. Also Microsofts combat flight sim 1 and 2, both also dirt cheap and low requirements. Still to this day my favorite jet sims is Jane's USAF, fly from Vietnam to the modern day, fairly easy to play and also less than 10 bucks...looks good for the time too!

I'm sorry but for just 20$ more you could get the best airwar game in the world IL-2 Sturmovik, but unfortunately my comp is so incredibly terrible agghghghghghghgh i have to suffer until computer relief is found even though I have the glorious IL-2 game anyway check it out you'll be amazed by the realism.

True, if system requirements aren't an option go for il-2. Pick up the new il-2 '46...it has all previous titles in one box.

I have been playing every WW2 fighter sim there is over the last 15 years. And I would have to say as for the best WW2 fighter sim when it comes to multi player, Dog fights, missions, and community support it would have to be the IL2 1946 Forgotten battles series.

Many online WW2 fighter sims charge $10 to $15 a month to fly on and many are using very old code and graphics.

IL2 has had the most cutting edge when it came to graphics and simulation flight. If you love flying sims like MSN Flight sim X but what to blow some one out of the sky then 1946 is for you too.

You can get the game just for $20.00 usa and you don't have to pay a monthly fee to play. With Hundreds of thousands of people.

Check out Hyperlobby a free program that lets you match up with players in the many game types. From the Pacific to Europe. 1939 to 1946 .. you pick your flavor.
